Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-17-09  spotkicker: Is 9...Bd7 the right move? I don't think. 9...Bb7 and even 9...Ne4 is better. For example after 9...Ne4 10.0-0 Bb7 11.f4 Be7 12.f5 e5 13.Ne6 fe6 14.Nb6 0-0! would be better for black. Black played a6-b5 and he could play Bb7. Why he played Bd7 instead of using that bishop in Fianchetto?
Nov-17-09  spotkicker: 15.Be6 Kh8 16.Na8 Ba8 isn't bad for black. If after 9...Ne4 10.0-0 Bb7 white plays 11.Be6 it could not win the game. 11...fe6 12.Ne6 Qe7 13.Nf8 Rf8 14.Nb6 Kf7! 15.Na8 Ba8. Black has two strong knights against to White's rook and pawn.
Nov-17-09  spotkicker: I think 10...Ne4 isn't a good move too. Because black had played 9...Bd7 before. If he played 9...Bb7, it would be right. However he played 9...Bd7. So After 10.0-0 black should play 10...Be7. 11.Nb6?? Qb6 12.Ne6 Qb7 13.Ng7 Kd8 provides white nothing. A possible variant is that: 11.Ne6?! fe6 12.Nb6 Nc6 13.Na8 Qa8. Or 11.f3 Nc6 12.c3 d5 13.Nc6 Bc6 14.e5 Nd7 15.f4 is more playable.
