Mar-13-15  zanzibar: Rothschild is said to have been a strong amateur player - but missing the absolute necessity of playing the forced 17.Kh1 here calls that into question:

Instead of defending against the mate, White proceeds with 19.Nxb6, as if the alarm bells weren't ringing.

Mar-13-15  zanzibar: And if 17.Kh1 Bxf2 18.Rxf2 Qxf2 19.Qxf4 and then if 19...Qxe2 20.Bxg7! and it's Black who becomes vulnerable on the g-file.
