Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-05-12  hilfsmatt: Could be a Tuesday puzzle after 30. Qd4

fredthebear: Both campfires are blazin'. Having the initiative is crucial, and Black has the extra piece. 30...Qg3+ is decisive.

If 31.Kg1, Black has a mate in two after the rooks are exchanged on the back rank and the queen cleans up 32...QxRe1#.

After 31.Kg1, the Black knight enters with 31...Ne3+ to provide support for the Black queen which leaves the White king no safe place to go. 32.Kg1 allows mate on the move by the Black queen. So, 32.Ke2 Qxg2+ 33.Kd3 Qc2#. If 33.Ke1, it's a royal family fork after 33...Nc2+ and the Rh1 is still hanging.
