Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-23-06  Cyphelium: White's opening wasn't successful, so he tried the pawn sac 11. f4. It doesn't look very promising, but then black blundered with 14.- g6?. If instead 14.- c6, I think white has problems to show compensation for the pawn. 15.- ♕g7? is also really weak. Instead he had to try 15.- gxh5 16. ♘xf6+ ♔d8/♔f8 17. ♘xf6, which is not very good for black, but at least he can fight for a while. 16.- h6 wasn't brilliant either, but at that point it's clearly beyond saving anyway.

Honza Cervenka: Instead of 8.Bd2 it was better to play 8.h3. I agree with <Cyphelium> but instead of 16...h6?? allowing mate in 1 it was better to try 16...0-0 17.Nxb4 a5 18.Nd5 f6!? 19.Nxf6++ Kh8 20.Nxh7 (what else?) 20...Kxh7 21.c3 Nxb3+ 22.axb3 a4 with clear advantage and probably won game for white but still with quite a lot of play ahead.
