keypusher: This one is kind of funny. Tarrasch passes up several opportunities to trade off all the rooks, presumably because he doesn't want a draw. In this position

Lipke plays 18.Rcb1, trying to take advantage of the awkward lineup of heavy pieces on the back rank. Now 18....Ne4 19.Ba5 Rd6 20.g4 Nh6 21.Bb4 Rdd8 22.Ba5 is a repetition. Whether to avoid this or in a fit of absentmindedness, Tarrasch played 18....Nd6? and after 19.Ba5 he had to give up the exchange.
