  Honza Cervenka: Pretty wild game. White could have played also 26.Qxh6! Qa1+ (26...gxh6 27.Rxh7#) 27.Rg1 Qxg1+ 28.Kxg1 gxh6 29.Rxh7+
Nov-26-04  akiba82: Tarrasch points out that he could have played 25.cxd4 and if 25... Re1+ 26. Bf1, the queen being immune because of Black's weak back rank.
Nov-26-04  akiba82: In his Three Hundred Chess Games, Tarrasch gave the following improvement: 30.Qf6 a5 31.Be4 a4 32.c4 a3 33.Rf8 Qc5 34.Rg8+ Kg8 35.Bd5+ Kh8 36.Qd8+ Ne8 37.Qe8+ Kg7 38.Qf7+ Kh6 39.Qf6+ Kh5 40.Bf7# or 30...h6 31.f4 Qg4+ 32.Kh2 Qh5+ 33.Kg3 Qh1 34.Rf8 Qg1+ 35.Kf3 Qd1+ 36.Ke3 Qe1+ 37.Kd4 Qf2+ 38.Kc4 Qh2 39.Qg6 and finally 30...a5 31.Be4 h6 32.f4 Qg4+ 33.Kh2 Qh5+ 34.Kg3 a4 35.c4 a3 36.Rf8 a2 37.Bd5 Rf8 38.Qf8+ Kh7 39Bg8+ Kg6 40.Qf7#

Mateo: Some nice moves from Tarrasch, even if I don't understand why his opponent gave up two pawns in the middle game (22...Re8? and 23...Qa5?).
