  Chessical: Nimzowitsch's <15.Nxe5!> and <18.d3> illustrate how he used his formidable combinative vision for positional ends.

Ahues' <18...fxe5> underestimated Nimzowitsch's nascent threats against his K-side. For instance:

If Ahues had played: <19...Rxf1+> 20.Rxf1 Bb8 21.Bf7+ Kh8 22.e6!! (effectively a zugwang> a5 23.Bxg7+ Kxg7 24.Qg4+ Kh6 25.Rf5 Qd8 26.Rh5#

  srkoziol: It seems that Nimzowitsch fully exploited every Ahues mistake. After 18...fxe5, it was a clinic.
