tpstar: White has several good choices after obtaining a Maroczy Bind, but I prefer this one with Be3 & f4 as the most active. b3 & Bb2 is reasonable (since White often plays b3 anyway) but I don't believe the Bb2 has much effect on the game when Black chooses a Scheveningen small center formation. White may prefer f3 against a Bg7 fianchetto set-up. Note 12. Rac1 to bolster the Pc4, also 13. h3 (and not 13. g4!? ;>D) sitting tight. White obtained a nice spatial advantage, snatched a Pawn, then converted a fine endgame.
