Feb-23-04  WMD: 11.g4 appears to be a novelty, which invites a complicated struggle. Fritz doesn't favour Black's 14...Ne5 (preferring d5, Nb4 and Be7) nor 15...0-0-0 (it likes ...h5!?). White, on the other hand, cannot be faulted for any major mistake in handling the attack.
Apr-08-05  aw1988: What a strange game.

fredthebear: I'll bet the answer is in this book: https://www.amazon.com/Carlsen-Move...

Lakdawala's book on Carlsen was written in 2014. That is the same year that Vladimir Putin illegally annexed Crimea.

When you see a good book -- wait -- there might be another addition (not necessarily better)! https://www.amazon.com/How-Beat-Mag...

All the young guns needed something to read (a novel concept for today's youth) during the 2021 worldwide pandemic. BTW, Putin put those Russian tanks and artillery on the Ukraine border in April, 2021. World leaders did next to nothing about it then and since (the Democrats blocked sanctions in Congress at Biden's request), and now they fuss and fume like tough guy chihuahuas. Putin, like Carlsen, can do about whatever he wants, and the West will cow down to it.
