Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-26-04  lordhazol: I think 16-Qc5? is not good move.Black needs his queen at king side.Simple 16-Bxp not allows early Nd5.
Jan-26-04  Catfriend: What's bad with 23.♘:♗g4 ?
Premium Chessgames Member
technical draw: <greetings Catfriend> I don't see anything wrong with 23.Nxg4. It appears to win a piece. I'll have to take out the chessboard to be sure, but I'm too lazy right now.
Jan-27-04  Catfriend: <Greetings TD! :)>
I checked it out and I think it would win.But - it's a blitz game... and maybe Kaspy saw it but was afraid of a trap or something and didn't want to spend time, especially if he saw a simple victory.
Jan-30-04  lordhazol: 23 NxB Qg3 threats Queen and knight at same time
Jan-30-04  Catfriend: But then 24.♘h6+ and white, though he doesn't win much, gains for the same material as in the game also the rival monarch's exposure.
Feb-01-04  lordhazol: yes Catfriend i suppose youre right.
Apr-28-07  M.Laine: I think black can play after Nxg4..
25.Qg3 and mate-threat is real then.

26.Qc5 Rd8 27.Ne3 Rd2
27.Re2 h5

And black wins at long run..

Dec-13-07  component: It's 23. Nxg4 23...Qg3 24. Qxc5 24..Rc6 25.Qxa7 25..Qxg4
