Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-05-04  Lawrence: Why did Capa bother with 28.....a5 instead of launching into his attack already yet with 28.....Qh4?
Mar-31-08  ForeverYoung: Emanuel Lasker recommended the direct 28 ... Qh4 followed by ... Rfc8 as being "more decisive" He also points out 29 Qg4 as "almost sufficient"

The annotator cosidered 12 a4 as a lemon and recommended instead 12 Nf1 followed by d4.

The game itself is a fine example of energetic play by Capa.

Jun-03-08  Ulhumbrus: As 15 d4 invites the pin ...Bg4, this suggests preparing d4 by playing Ng3, Ne3 or even h3.
Jun-10-15  TheFocus: This is match game one of a two-game match. It was played on November 15, 1913 in Berlin, Germany.

Capablanca won both games.
