Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-21-02  bishop: A nice finishing move.
Jan-23-06  Koster: Looks like computer move. I would definitely not find that in a puzzle.
Jan-23-06  you vs yourself: Very nice move! 33...Ba2 is a nice <decoy>, as it becomes even more deadly because of the <discovered check>. If 34.Kxa2 b3+ and the queen is gone. Or if 34.Qxb4 QxQ 35.axQ BxRb1 36.Kxb1 and the endgame is easily won by black because the only queening square of the doubled b-pawns is being guarded by the dark bishop of black.
Jan-23-06  you vs yourself: Even after learning that it's black to play and win from the previous two kibitzers, I was looking hard at 33...Bc3 and never considered 33...Ba2 because I was over-thinking where applying basics will win the game.
Jan-24-06  notyetagm: What a finishing move by Topalov, 33 ... ♗a2!, winning the White queen via the <decoy> of the White king to a2 34 ♔xa2 b3+ and 35 ... ♕x♕ if the Black light-squared bishop is captured.
Jan-27-06  something1234: Ive just done that puzzle in neil mcdonalds book and for a while i was looking a Bc3 but then if you ask yourself whats in the position you come to the conclusion whites rook cant move because of mate and blacks queen is undefended and white would lose his queen if you could only give a check with that pawn hey presto Ba2!
Aug-12-06  dakgootje: puzzle-worthy

Aye, ya mates, thats one short post from my side, yar not gonna see mine much shorter than that ;-)

Jun-30-11  notyetagm: Game Collection: Visualize discoverer on discoverer's target
Jun-30-11  notyetagm: Game Collection: Double attacks: additional control of squares ++
Oct-09-17  ZackyMuhammad: Karjakin was 12 years old in this game
