Jan-08-05  MidnightDuffer: The Fried Liver Attack! Beware; I was trying to accomodate someone with a regular King's pawn opening game with e5; nothing else, I should have gone into the Giuco Piano, not the 2 Knights; This game and one other on chessgames demonstrate Black is able to extricate himself from some of the real complications that exist. Here is an example of this;

http://www.johnpratt.com/items/ches... .

The fried liver attack is characterised with what Tarrasch called a duffers move; 4. Ng5. If you ever play the 2 Knights defence against e4; having to confront the "Duffers move" is unavoidable.
