Dec-28-05  GaryK51188: 8...Be6, white can win the exchange with 9.Nc7+, but winning the Queen is better.
Dec-28-05  syracrophy: 5...b6? was a big mistake, because it weakened the b5 square. In the sicilian, the normal continuation is to play first ...a6 then, ...b5 to then play ...Bb7.

-Instead of 6...d5, I would have preferred 6...d6 closing the diagonal, to then play 7...a6.

-And instead of the decisive blunder 8...Be6??, black could have played 8...Ng6, attacking the bishop, and controlling the d6 square. The loss of the rook is unavoidable, but black can win the knight and the bishop: 8...Ng6 9.Nc7+ Ke7 10.Nxa8 Nxf4 and after 11...Bb7, the knight of a8 its lost.

Feb-12-06  kevin86: OUCH! black can hand over the queen after 9...♕c8 10 ♘d6+ or the queen after 9...♕d7 10 ♘d6+ forces black to take with the queen
