  wwall: Instead of 68...h3??, does 68...Kh1 draw? If 69.Kf3, then 69...h3 70.Rg5 (70.Kg4 h3 71.Kxh3 Rxg7!) h2 71.Kg3 Kg1 72.Kh3+ Kh1 73.Rg6 Rxg7! 74.Rxg7 stalemate.

If 69...Kh1, then 70.Rxh3+ Kg2 71.Rg3+ or 71.Rh7 wins.

After 70...Kh1, White mates with 71.Kf3 Kh2 (71...h2 72.Re7 Kg1 73.Re1 mate) 72.Rh7 Kh1 73.Rxh3+ Kg1 74.Rh4 Kf1 75.Rh1 mate.

  beatgiant: <aw1988: <wwall> 68...Kh1 69. Kg4 and then?> I think his idea is stalemate via 68...Kh1 69. Kg4 h3 70. Kxh3 <Rxg7!> 71. Rxg7.
Oct-22-05  aw1988: Nice, I didn't see that.
