  tpstar: In the Main Line Petrov with 3. d4, 7 ... Nc6?! looks dubious because after 8. cd Qxd5 9. Re1 Black's pieces are pretty loose = 9 ... Nxe5?? 10. Bxe4 & 11. dxe5; 9 ... Qxd4?? 10. Rxe4; 9 ... f5?? 10. Bc4. Note 9 ... Nxf2?! 10. Kxf2? Qxd4+ and Black sneaks out of it, but 10. Nxc6! Nxd1 11. Nxe7+ Kh8 12. Nxd5 wins. In the game Black lost after 9 ... Bf5 10. Nxc6 bxc6 11. Qc2 because the Be7 was hanging (11 ... Nd6 12. Rxe7). Relatively best was 11 ... Bb4 with a Rook for 2 pieces after 12. Bxe4 Bxe1 13. Bxf5.

tpstar0-dddl2004 (Yahoo 7/22/04): 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. d4 d5 4. de (4. Nxe5 Nxe4 5. Bd3 transposing) Nxe4 5. Bd3 Be7 6. 0-0 0-0 7. c4 Nc6 (here it works) 8. cd Qxd5 9. Nc3? (9. Bxe4 Qxe4 10.
