Benzol: I wish database on players like Kurt Richter,Rashid Nezmetdinov and Alexander Tolush was much bigger.
May-21-21  Stolzenberg: As 8. Nd5 was punished with 8. ... Bxf2+, White should have tried 8. d4, e.g. 8. ... exd4 9. Nd5 Qd6 10. b4.

Great game by Kurt Richter!

May-21-21  Stolzenberg: Btw, Kurt Richter was just 17 years old at the time of this game.
May-21-21  Granny O Doul: Rather crude to finish with 22...Rxh1+ rather than ...Qd1+ 23. Kf2 Qe2+ 24. Kg1 Qe1+ 25. Qf1 Ne2 or Nf3+.
Nov-14-21  Delboy: Given his attacking skills, I am surprised Richter missed 15. ... Rxh3. The engine says it is mate in 10, the main line being 16. Kxh3 Qh5+ 17. Kg2 Qh2+ 18. Kf3 Nd4+ 19. Kxg4 d6+ 20. Kg5 Qh6#
