fredthebear: Do Alekhine Defense players want to give this a try during blitz games?

38.d7 was a nice surprise -- a passed pawn on the 6th may not seem so menacing, but it is to be feared. White would've ruined his win with 38.RxRc5? Nd3+ and material evens out.

Oct-03-21  DouglasGomes: The d5 break which Alekhine suggests creates a advanced passer, and often a good way to exploit it is with a attack towards the king (lesson from super GM Samuel Shankland), so logically the strongest move in the position is 13. h4. This is no diversion, it is actually highly refined stategical chess.

There are bunch of contorted defenses (nothing very sufficient) and White is winning in the center and in the kingside.
