Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-19-06  Whitehat1963: Here's a complex little puzzle/exchange after 13...Ra7. Try your luck. I imagine black probably had other resources. What does <Crafty> think?
Oct-11-13  GumboGambit: Finally, a pun sub of mine!
Oct-11-13  TrueFiendish: Whitman, nice pun.
Oct-11-13  King Sacrificer: Pronounciation issue with the pun: <Aleksic> is pronounced like <Sandwich>, not <Electric>.
Oct-11-13  sorokahdeen: Beautiful.

It kind of makes me wonder/worry about the Kan variation wing attack. Every time I see a game with it, I see white winning with some sort of brilliant attack based on black's slow, if not actually reluctant, development of his kingside pieces.

Oct-11-13  Ratt Boy: Hmm.
Whose Queen is more active: White's, or Black's?
Oct-11-13  morfishine: No matter how you pronounce it, this play on words is irrelevant to chess

Powerful game though

Oct-11-13  Kikoman: position after 24. Qd4

Domdaniel: Horrible pun, but A Bradbury would like it.
Oct-11-13  mravikiran: Why not 12. ... Bxg2

  Domdaniel: <mravikiran> -- <Why not 12...Bxg2>? Because 13.Nxe6! is crushing, eg 13...fxe6 14.Rxd8+ Bxd8 15.Qxe6+ or 13...Qa5 14.Nxg7+ Kf8 15.Bh6.

There are other lines, but all are very good for White. However instead of 12...Bxg2 or 12...0-0 (as in the game), 12...Qa5 is quite playable.

  kevin86: Black could crook a rook,but be subject to checkmate:24...♕a1+ 25 ♔c2 ♕xh1 26 ♕xf6+ ♔g8 27 ♖g5#

skip the promotions-they only gain the rook back.
