Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-20-04  InspiredByMorphy: Kramnik is very strong as black in the Ruy Lopez! A win against Shirov is no small feat!
Feb-20-04  Kenkaku: <InspiredByMorphy> Kramnik really booked up on (and innovated in?) the Berlin Defense prior to his match with Kasparov, intending to make it his main weapon as black. He played it until quite recently. Perhaps we may see it from him again sometime (or maybe it's been overanalyzed by now).
May-12-05  Backward Development: very nice combination to finish the game by Kramnik. I think Shirov just played too optimistically in this line, giving the two bishops against two knights, then yielding a pawn, not stopping black's QS counterplay, etc.
