Jul-10-05  InspiredByMorphy: 9. ...Qxd5 helped white advance the queen knight. What was the big hurry to exchange? Black can continue to develop without fear of an attack on the queen, and could have continued with 9. ...Nc6 10.Be3 b6 and the position is equal.

tpstar: <IBM> Thanks for reviewing my game. My opponent chose an inferior line of the Petrov but needn't make things worse with 7 ... cd!? - 7 ... Qxd6 is correct, like you said. Although in the other Petrov Modern main line (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. d4 ed 4. e5 Ne4 5. Qxd4 d5 6. ed Nxd6) I've also created an isolated Pd6, yet Black had the half open c file and active piece play as compensation.

I'm disappointed at how many blunders I get during these slow games. He's an A player, which makes 19 ... Nd4?? an incomprehensible lemon.

Jul-11-05  InspiredByMorphy: <tpstar> Ive asked you this before but where can I review more of your games? I forgot where to look. Ill make sure not to forget this time. Thanks :) The game you posted on the following page is great! Tringov vs N K Ivanov, 1981
