Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-12-04  sandy simpson: 3 games at random - and again the black queen has no move - was Tony the King of the piece trap?
Jan-25-05  Whitehat1963: This is an almost comical example of the opening of the day.
Sep-18-08  Saul.Richman: The more I look at Tony Miles' games, the more I think "What a genius".

He was years ahead of his time in innovative opening theory! His ready compliance with fighting to the bare kings in "obviously drawn" endgames is pure Topolev.

RIP Tony - badly missed.

Sep-18-08  euripides: I guess Miles picked up the idea for K-B3 from some bloke he played back in the 1980s.

Miles vs Kasparov, 1986

May-09-09  Saul.Richman: LOL at euripides!

I'm sure if Tony was still alive, he'd be chortling as well at your analogy with Kasparov's "Slavian Stroll" to f6 with his king sitting there completely unharmed :-)
