Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-16-06  ianD: Nice finish. This might make a puzzle one day. "whilst the cats away". What is Bogo's Queen doing so far from the action?
Jul-09-19  N.O.F. NAJDORF: 31 ... gxf6
32 Rd7+ Kg6
33 Qf5+ Kh6

and now 34 Rxh7 / Qxh7 / Qxf6 / Qh5
mate!

There seem to be countless grandmaster games in which Black's queen goes on fruitless journeys on the queenside (even though white has not castled queenside),allowing white to mate him on the kingside.

Black usually goes wrong by playing ... Qb6

Honza Cervenka: Bogo's play was too passive. He should have tried 11...Rb8 (planning b5 and Bb7) 12.a4 b6 13.f4 Bb7 finishing development.

24.Be5 is good enough but 24.fxe6 Qxb2 25.exf7+ Kh8 26.Qxd5 wins instantly.
