Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-18-05  MidnightDuffer: If I'm in a game and moves 8 and 9 by White are Queen takes g7 pawn and h7 pawn; I'm panicking!
Jan-18-05  lronTigran: It's the mainline of The French Winawer, the french being Uhlmann's favorite opening. Black gets quite good compensation, although I'll never play it (if I was ever caught playing the french I would play 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Bg5 Bb4, which is quite overlooked, but probably black's best chance of equalizing).
Mar-21-06  LivBlockade: Nice finish. In the final position, to stop the e-pawn, White must play 45. ♗c5 or 45. ♗d6, but in either case, Black can create another passed pawn that cannot be stopped. For example, 45. ♗c5 e2; 46. ♗f2 b4; with a when Black will soon have a new Queen.
