Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-02-04  Whitehat1963: Nice play from Timman.
Feb-01-05  schnarre: Timman really shows the versatility & solidity of the Torre. White should have little difficulty dealing with Black's pawn majority.
Feb-19-05  aw1988: <Catfriend> Here's one, not so spectacular, but one nonetheless.
Oct-02-05  aw1988: <Catfriend> Multi-Queens
Jan-11-06  schnarre: Always interesting to see multi-Queen games.
Mar-16-06  TheWhiteRider: Move 37 white to play. Would be a nice quiz. Probably not a week end one but still... I liked it.
Apr-27-06  babakova: I loathe club players who always play the torre setup no matter what black replies. They always try for the same basic tactics too, yuck.

fredthebear: This is NOT an easy finish for White. What unit will advance far enough to support the queen giving checkmate? The Black queenside passers can be stopped, but working two jobs at once isn't easy with Black having the Bishop shuffle available to pass the turn.

I like a modern computer's chances to draw by forming an ideal pawn fortress w/an active bishop and a queenside passer to stretch White on both sides of the board. In 1997, Fritz probably cannot pull it off against a GM, but today it could be a different matter.
