Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-13-06  zev22407: Larsen's provocotive moves backfired!
17)f5! starts a fine combination and after 18)R:c6 (removing the guard)and onQ:c6 19)f6 and the pin on the d' file wins.
Jan-28-16  clement41: I was calculating 19 Rxd7+! which also wins (...Kxd7 Re7+ KxR QxQ+ Bd7 f6 1-0, ...Bxd7 Bb6 1-0, ...Qxd7 Rd6 1-0) but Rxc6 is even stronger and somehow cleaner

Mar-13-21  Whitehat1963: Fantastic game, and what a great puzzle after 17...bxc3. The reply must have come as an unpleasant surprise!

Larsen vs Fischer, 1967

Mar-13-21  sfm: Oops.
Well, as other punnaisseurs also have pointed out over time, our late Danish hero was at times more successfully hell-Bent and committed grand Larseny on the board. I met him once, in Lyngby-Virum chess club, for his simultaneous exhibition there. He gave a short speech, as in his writings he had a witty and charming personality.
Mar-13-21  Cheapo by the Dozen: I love the Bent Larsen book I have.
Mar-13-21  goodevans: Uncharacteristically timid play from Larsen. Up until 16...b4 we didn’t see a single aggressive move from him, by which time the writing was already on the wall.

That was his first venture into his opponent's half other than to trade on d4. In fact after his first move, other than those trades he confined himself to just the first three ranks before sending that b-pawn on it's lone mission.

Mar-13-21  RandomVisitor: After 6.f4: how about 6...Be7
