Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-04-04  tacticsjokerxxx: Tal seem's to have changed the way he opened into the benoni in later years, perhaps to avoid the taimanov variation?

what happens if 6.e5?

Jan-14-05  trogdor: Black plays 6...Ne8.
if 6...Nh5 happens then 7.g4.
At some point later black will probaly play f6 open up the file and bring out his knight. Black will be ok, at least.
Jun-08-05  bomb the bishop: How would the Taimanov variation be employed?
Mar-24-06  zev22407: 16)..B:h3! demolition.
20)..R:e2! removing the guard.
Sep-01-08  ToTheDeath: Amazing game. After 15.Bh6? White's game is already critical due to the coming sacrifice on h3. 15.Rfe1 looks OK.

White could have defended better with 20.Ra3 Rxe2 21.Bxe2 Qf4+ 22.Kg1 Rg1+! 23.Kxg1 Qxh6 24.Bxh5 Qxh5 with a superior ending for Black, but White could make a fight of it.

In the final position there is no answer to the threat of ...Nf2+.
