  perfidious: It's interesting how once again, a display of Tal pyrotechnics winds up giving him a favourable ending which he duly converts to a win.

My guess is that Tal had no fear of Karpov's bolt from the blue, 11.Ng5, from the match with Korchnoi the year before.

Sep-03-05  euripides: <perfidious> Indeed. Karpov's seconds in that match were Tal and Zaitsev. There is a rumour that Ng5 was Zaitsev's idea, but Tal would have been in on the analysis.
