Aug-09-05  Poisonpawns: Brilliant play by Tal
Mar-07-06  little fluffy: I don't understand 27..a4. Especially when he loses that pawn without any compensation on move 33.
Mar-07-06  devilwolfdog: Isn't Dorfman the fat guy on Animal House? I'm surprised he could take Tal to the 47th move. :o)

  GrahamClayton: According to Tal, Dorfman could have equalised with 16..♘h6, eg:

a) 17.♘h8 ♘f5 18.♘f7 ♖d7 19.♘e5 ♗e2;
b) 17.♘d8 ♖d8 18.♗h7 ♗e2;
c) 17.♘h6 ♗h5 18.♗g4 ♗g4 19.♘g4 ♖d2

Oct-12-11  cuppajoe: < I don't understand 27..a4.>

According to Joel Gallagher passive defence will get him steamrolled, so he tries to activate his rook on the queenside. Unfortunately, his rook does nothing on the queenside and he just loses the pawn.
