Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-20-05  talisman: isn't tal's 3rd move kn-c3?
Dec-07-06  fja4: no, but it is effectively the same
Jun-12-09  Crocomule: Not that it matters, but Joe G. has 3. Nc3. The move of the game is 13. Bc7!
Jun-30-12  King Death: < talisman: isn't tal's 3rd move kn-c3?>

Another version of this game that I found has 3.Nc3 but by 1977 most top players were using 3.Nd2 and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the move played.

Larsen's original play gets him in trouble in this middle game. Tal had a decent career edge on Larsen (13-7 and 19 draws) and 4 of Larsen's wins came in the 1969 candidates reserve match when Tal was way off form.

Oct-04-13  talisman: <King Death> thanks...Tal calls blacks 21st..."the losing move."
