Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-29-07  Marmot PFL: Taimanov takes his king for a walk, right off the edge of a cliff.
Aug-29-07  Autoreparaturwerkbau: Nice to see such comment besides such avatar. Goes hand in hand. So, be careful about that climber there! :)
Jun-23-08  vonKrolock: <8...dxc4> Larsen's trademark, a move that would make the adversarty stop to think... Gligoric: <"You always gain a few minutes by that transposition!"> - recalling a game Gligoric-Larsen, Dundee 1967.

<10...a6> And now, Taimanov <"really fell into deep thought" BL> - Smyslov: <"Taimanov does not know Your games, I do!"> <quoted from Larsen's <'Selected Games 1948-69'> Bell & Sons, GB 1970>

Nov-16-09  spotkicker: After 33.Bb3(instead of 33.Ba5) I think 33...Nd5 would come. 34.cd5 Rc3 35.Bd1 Nf6 36.Kg5(36.Ke5 Ng4)36...Nd5 37.Rh5 Ra3. White would have picked up many pawns but I'm not sure. If you have analyzes I'm waiting for them.

GrahamClayton: In time trouble Taimanov played 38.♗b3. Larsen in his book "Fifty Selected Games" suggests that 38.♗d1 draws, as the Bishop can capture the Black knight on g4. Once the Black knight reaches 64, Taimanov's King is in a mating net that can't be escaped from.

ChessCoachClark: Impending Arabian Mate by 43. ... Rg8# causes the resignation.
Feb-14-18  Granny O Doul: "Larsen is bent in thought while Taimanov doesn't have time enough" was the caption to the photo that appeared with this game in Chess Life or maybe Review.
