  wwall: Better may be 19.Qd5

Not 19...Nb8 20.Rxa7.

After 19...Bh3, White threatens 20...Rxd6 and 20...Qg4.

If 20.Qc5, then 20...Rxd1 21.Rxd1 Qg4 22.Ne1 Qxd1

Sep-25-05  who: You mean black threatens. Actually many moves hold the position at move 19. I saw the simple 19.Qd3, but fancier is the computer move 19.Ng5 fxg5 (forced) 20.Bxg5 Be6 (forced) 21.Bxd8 Nxd8 (forced) 22.Qf8+ Bg8 (only legal move) 23.c5 where black is well tied up.
Jun-10-08  dTal: Man oh man, Tal amazes yet again. The magical tactical showers commence in a position which looks quite cramped for Black. What a genius.
Nov-19-17  orbisignis89: 24. ... Nd4 is amazing.
May-08-18  jabinjikanza: Mark taimanov outplayed by great tal

Volcach: More magic from my favorite Mikhail Tal, favorite moments for me:

<18 Qc8!> The computer lists this as a mistake before calling Bh3 a brilliancy. Clearly Tal saw the opportunity for a light square infiltration. Ironically, White had similar possibilities if instead of Qd6? Qf7! and Bh6 is on the cards.

<20 Rxd1!> Things are only equal if Rxd8 is allowed after Qg4. But exchanging now puts a hanging Rook on d1 that makes for many more exciting tactical possibilities.

<31 Re1!> The correct infiltration. Simple but powerful

Already commited to memory.
