Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-21-04  ughaibu: Another Ruy Lopez gets harshly dealt with.
Jul-01-06  dzechiel: What's the deal with 32...Ng5? 32...Qf2+ 33 Kh1 Qh2# seems the most expiditious. I suspect that there's an error in the score at the end of this game, that two mover is too easy for someone of Spielmann's strength to miss.
Mar-22-10  Xeroxx: Weird. But still a forced mate.

LIFE Master AJ: Apparently, Black did miss a simple mate at the end ... I checked the game score against the Soltis book (and CB, and a couple of other sources as well.)

The annotations symbols are those of Soltis ... this is game # 83 in his book, "The 100 Best."

">/=" means that - according to the engine - the continuation (which follws the symbol) was much better than what was actually played in the actual game.

LIFE Master AJ: In Soltis's Book, "The 100 Best," I found that (up until now) this has been some great annotations ... <"The Best of The Best" <<<<>>>> >

But something bad happened here, and I cannot figure out what it was. (I guess it could be possible that he just bashed this game out too quickly ... or maybe there is some other explanation.)
