Jan-18-18  tigreton: Great Smyslov! We can learn a lot simply watching his games.
Jan-17-21  visis: I like 13.d4!. For black its hard to find the only good continuation 13...Bg4.

18.Bxd5 is objectively not the strongest. Smyslov realized that 18.Bc2 could be stronger move creating threats on the b1-h7 diagonal but he played for ending according his nature and proverb a bird in hand is worth two in a bush.
