wwall: This was Portisch's only loss at Skopje.

Instead of 20...Nd7, perhaps 20...Rd8 21.Rxd8 Qxd8 22.Bxc4 Bf8.

Instead of 21...Nf8, perhaps 21...Nxc5 22.Nxc5 Bc8 23.Qxc4 Bf8.

Instead of 23...Rb8, perhaps 23...Rd8 24.Bxe6 fxe6 25.Nc4 Rxd1+ 26.Qxd8 Bc8.

After 25.Qa2, White threatens 26.Rd7. If 25...Ne6, then 26.Bxe6 fxe6 27.Qd2, threatening 28.Rd7, and that should win. If 25...Bc8 (or 25...Rd8), then 26.Bxf7+! Qxf7 27.Rd8+ Bf8 28.Rxf8+ Kg7 29.Qxf7+ and mate in a few moves.
