Jun-26-07  Whitehat1963: Was this lost on time?
Jun-26-07  MrMelad: Nope - 39.Qe1 (forced) Qxe1 40.Kxe1 Nc1+ winning a piece.
Jun-26-07  Whitehat1963: Yup, see it. Thanks.
Nov-16-09  AESTRADAR: 16....a5! It is a typical move. black weakens willingly the point b5, but secures the fields b4 and c5 which will be the boarding axis.
Jul-22-13  jerseybob: Trifunovich, annotating this in the August 1965 Chess Review, thinks white's opening play was too passive at times, shocking to hear about Petrosian! But all credit to Portisch, who plays a fine game. The way black weasels into the white kingside is worth close study.
Mar-19-23  nummerzwei: Portisch's 35...Bxc4+ and 36...Qh3 is highly reminiscent of Veselin Topalov's <surprisingly simple manoeuvre> (Stefan Kindermann) from Wijk aan Zee 2007:
