ajk68: Up and pawn and the bishop pair...I would like to see the winning technique here. Not that I doubt it. It could be very instructive.
Jun-16-13  Everett: < ajk68: Up and pawn and the bishop pair...I would like to see the winning technique here. Not that I doubt it. It could be very instructive.>

I think W is due to lose more material after 23.Rb1 f5 24.Bc2 <trying to stay on the b1-h7 diagonal> ...Rc8. With no more squares along the diagonal, B will play 25..Bd3, winning.

May-27-15  FM William Schill: Joe Gallagher said about this game; "Don't play the Smyslov system against Smyslov, even a 72 year old Smyslov."
Apr-11-16  RookFile: Yes, as Everett said, black is going to win a 2nd pawn, and just be 2 pawns up.
