Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-23-05  The beginner: 11 .. Bxa3

This move is interesting. For me it looks like Seirawan trades his good bishop, for a knight on the edge, and let white develop his bishop onto the a3-f8 diagonal ?

Or do you think Mr Seirawan judged that the position was so locked up, that he prefered to keep his knights, and let white have a dark squared bishop, with all white's pawns at dark squares ?

Also why did white play 33 Rxe4 ?

Aug-25-07  Jim Bartle: 33. Rxe4 was fine. The black bishop was both attacking and defending. He shouldn't have played 34. Qxe4, since he had two big pieces lined up on the g-file against the black king. 34. f5 first should have won.

Nov-17-17  NBZ: Hmm in the chesscafe article, Seirawan gives Black's move 28 as Rh8, not Kh8. <chessgames.com>?
Nov-17-17  NBZ: Yes I think it has to be 28. ... Rh8. Otherwise, GM Nunn might want to explain how he missed 42. Qh7#! (in the current version of the game).
Nov-17-17  Isilimela: Ground control to chess(games).com, this is ground control to chess(games).com! Do you copy over ?!! 28 ... Rh8.
Nov-19-17  NBZ: I think it's fixed now!
