Kibitzer's Corner
May-23-15  Howard: Charles Sullivan claims that 25.Qxd1!! gives White "a winning attack."

The website is TrueChess.

To think that Yates could have beaten Capablanca !

May-29-15  Howard: What ?! No comments yet ?!
May-29-15  Calli: Well, he also should have beaten Alekhine Yates vs Alekhine, 1924
May-27-16  edubueno: 25 Dxd1 should not won. Example: 25...Dxg5; 26 Cf3 - Cd3
Jan-22-17  nummerzwei: Yates could have played much the same combination on move 20:

20.Nxg5 is both dead obvious and very strong, e.g. 20...Bxd1 (20...Qxg5 21.g4) 21.Bxh7+ Kh8 22.f4

The tournament book is completely silent on this! The whole thing's something of a mystery really.

Certainly, Alekhine didn't deliberately pass on an opportunity to criticize Capablanca's play (19...Bg5?? is even awarded an '!') ?!
