Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-15-04  Marvol: The last moves seem almost to be fake (without accusing anybody!). White is really making an effort to get himself suffocated: 29 Bxe5, 31 axb5 and 33 Bxg7 are of an incredible naievety and hardly count as resistance. They do contribute very nicely (...) to setting up the beautiful mate at the end.
Mar-02-15  jffun1958: 19. Nxb3 Rxc2+ 20. Kb1 Rxe2+ 21. Ka2 Bxh1
Aug-14-15  jerseybob: White's whole opening scheme, starting with 8.Qe2, is bizarre (as in the similar game Stein-Najdorf, 1965). Since he's blocked the bishop from using the f1-a6 line, g2 ends up being the bishop's home, but it's never really happy there. Bxf6 might be an improvement at some point, either on the 13th, 15th or 16th moves, but black still has solid lasting pressure on the center. Finally the unlucky bishop follows the siren song of a "trapped rook" with 16.Be2? and runs into 16..Nfe4! If 16.Rhe1, the exchange sac 16..Rc3 might be strong, so maybe best is 16.Bxf6 followed by Rhe1.
