Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-05-05  JG7: 1 of 26 duck eggs for Moreau
Jan-04-07  Whitehat1963: Well, he was only a colonel. Perhaps all GMs qualify as honorary generals and admirals.

playground player: I wonder if Col. Moreau was scared of women. If so, the ad on this page might have been able to help him. But it's in vain to imagine what could have helped him in this tournament.
Mar-07-09  TheTamale: Wow, pretty weak play by the Colonel. Timid and just weird. Of all the a$$-kickings he's handed in the database, this is the worst drubbing of all.

FSR: The Center Game looks like pretty much a forced win - at least if you're playing Col. Moreau.

FSR: Black's 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, and 14th moves were bad, but apart from that he played OK.
Aug-19-20  schnarre: ...Ouch: Black cannot stop mate, or at the very least a substantial loss of material.
Dec-21-21  gary11201: At least Colonel Moreau was invited to play in the tournament. Many weren't.

perfidious: <FSR>, in re your remarks of June 2011, was reviewing this game for the decisive error; it seems, as you note, that while chess positions can display remarkable resilience, it is tough to overcome so many weak moves.
