  plang: 4 Bd3 is a peculiar variation. It is hard to see what the appeal is.

16 d5 with the idea of...ed 17 Qe7 is an interesting pawn sacrifice which Boleslavsky declines.

Boleslavskys strategy of playing positionally on the queenside and then switching to the kingside is instructive.
