  Phony Benoni: No, it's clearly still a Modern Benoni. There must be some sort of mechanism in the openings classifier that puts this into the E00 section due to the move order. (I can sense what's happening, but can't really explain it.)

  perfidious: This appears to happen a fair amount with move orders such as 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 (or g3) c5 for some reason, in the same way that oceans of games beginning with 1.Nf3 are classified under A04 here.

One example of the latter is Gheorghiu vs Tal, 1971, which is clearly an unusual line against the Leningrad Dutch, but look where we are, according to the header.
