  perfidious: This looks a candidate for a Sunday puzzle.

Black may well have thought he could bail out with 17....Rhe8, but a surprise awaited him.

Once the fireworks came to an end, a double-Rook ending arose where both sides had weak pawns, with the final result by no means clear.
