Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-15-08  AnalyzeThis: Let's see. Black's entire army is attacking white's naked king. The white queen is hanging out on the far corner of the board, and the rook is roaming out in the middle of nowhere.

I'm sure Gligoric didn't mind this state of affairs.

Nov-15-08  veerar: 9.Nd2 seems passive.After Black's f5,White cannot play Ng5.This N is misplaced at b3.
Aug-17-09  Xeroxx: In Korchnoi vs Fischer, 1970

"This move
is apparently considered best by the Russians. In the "Turner Mira" 1970, Petrosian played 9 b4 Nh5 10 Nd2!? Nf4 11 a4, but without great success against Gligoric.
"

says Fischer.

One of the points is to meet ...f5 with f3.

But you shouldn't mix it with the Bayonet Attack. Like in Petrosian vs Gligoric, 1970

Jan-19-11  wordfunph: story of the game..

When Viktor resigned he said to Gligoric, "I could not guess any of your moves perhaps that was the reason for my defeat."

Jun-20-18  malt: 24.B:b6 B:f3 25.gf3 R:f3!
