Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-07-09  blacksburg: white's less than aggressive opening play allows black some liberty to mess around with queenside pawn moves, ultimately finding a good purpose for his c8-bishop.

12...h6, 13...0-0, 14...f6 seem counter-intuitive, castling into a weak position, but motivated by concrete tactics - h6 to stop Ng5 ideas, f6 to hit e5.

20...Rxf3 is a thematic french exchange.

Mar-04-15  zydeco: 24.Rg1 is a sacrificial idea that doesn't work. After 24.Re3 white seems to be defending decently -- it will take a few moves for black to untangle his pieces.
Jun-09-16  SimplicityRichard: Westerinen starts the game off in a passive fashion and later switches to his trademark aggression. Unfortunately the Rook sacrifice is unsound and the sole cause of the loss of this game.#
Oct-06-17  PaperSlim: Why would he resign in the final position? The material is equal, and the position while unpleasant, is at worst manageable.
