Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-18-09  The Chess Express: Instead of 17...Ne7? modern theory prefers

17...Bxg4
18. Nxg4 f5
19. Ng5 fxg4
20. Qxg4+ Kb8
21. Re6 with an edge

After 16. Bh6 better for black is 16...Bb4! now

17. Nd2 Bd5
18. Nxg8 Rxg8
19. a3 Ba5
20. g5 Qf4
21. c3 dxc3
22. bxc3 Bb6

leaves black on top.

I'd probably forget about 12. g4?! It's simply too weakening. 12. fxg7 Rg8 when

13. Nxc5 Qxc5
14. Nxe6 fxe6
15. Qe2 Rxg7
16. Qxe6+ Kb8
17. Bd2 d3
18. cxd3 cxd3
19. Qe3

is unpleasant, but at least material is equal and white's king is safe. d3 is a problem, but if white can win it he'll probably win the game. If somebody knows how white is supposed to handle this line I'd love to see it.

Oct-21-09  The Chess Express: It looks like white does better to play 15. Bh6
