Sneaky: Knockout in the first round!
Feb-20-04  Whitehat1963: Obviously black is as lost as Jed Clampett at the Four Seasons, but what's the best move after 8 ... Kd6?
Aug-13-04  misguidedaggression: 9.O-O looks like it wins:

9...Kc5? 10.Be3+ Kb4 11.a3+ Ka4 12.b3+ Ka5 13.b4+ Ka4 14.Nc3#

9...Kxe5 10.f4+ Kxe4 (Ke3 11.Re1+) 11.Be3+ And black can only sac his Queen to avoid 11...Kd4 Qc4#

9...Qe7/Qf7/Na3 10.Re1+ runs into mates similar to the first 2 variations.

I don't see anything else for Black.

Dec-08-05  Chopin: <Denhaene> must be blind.
Jul-08-08  puzzlefreak: Ouch!

fredthebear: After 4.Bc4 the correct move for Black is 4...c6. Natural moves like 4...Be7, 4...Nf6 and 4...h6? all lose here as White continues each the same way with 5.dxe5 and then threatens the f7-square.

Joshka: <fredthebear> I had a guy play 6...Nh6 and after I played 7. Bh6 he castled on 7...game was drawn...What could I have done to keep the pressure after 6...Nh6?? thanks in advance!!
Oct-10-19  Cheapo by the Dozen: I don't understand the question from <Joshka>, as it sounds like he was a piece up.
Jun-18-21  sea7kenp: And White got to enjoy a Hanham Sandwich.

fredthebear: I am just now seeing your post <Joshka>.

Here are the games featuring 6...Nh6 7.BxNh6:

7...O-O 8.Be3 c6 9.Qd2 with an eye toward the kingside (and maintaining queen safety on the d-file, or exchanging queens) seems to work well for White. White is up a piece, so simplifying exchanges are welcome.

Sally Simpson: Koltanowski adds in 'En Passant' that in his match v Lazard (the book has 1932 but it was 1923 Koltanowski vs F Lazard, 1923 if) Lazard played the same mistake 5...dxe5 the rest of that game is not given.

We now have one a bit games from this 5 game match, just three games and a bigger bit to find.

Sally Simpson: Well done Stonehenge, now two and a bit more games to find.

Can you get rid of Koltanowski vs NN, 1931 it was not given by Koltanowski in his book and he has given a name for every opponent in this exhibition.

  Stonehenge: OK, it's here now:

Koltanowski vs A Dunkelblum, 1923.
