Apr-26-12  Kinan: Qa6 is the last move in his life.
Jan-02-14  Naniwazu: This cannot be the last game Spielmann ever played. Reuben Fine in his book 'Chess Marches On!' (Chess Review, 1945) includes a game played between Spielmann and a Swedish player named Sjoholm in 1941. Spielmann played a Blumenfeld Counter-Gambit and won in 21 moves. Fine calls it 'one of the last of Spielmann's recorded games' so it's likely there were more played after this one.

It's correct that this was definitely not his last game ever. Sthig Jonasson writes that Spielmann won a small tournament in Kalmar, April 1941, and came in 3rd in a tournament in Lund, October 1941 (page 106 of Michael Ehn, 'Rudolf Spielmann', Koblenz, Germany, 1996).

Nov-21-18  blackburne: Spielmann in Sweden. Play three tournaments in 1941. In 1942 play simultaneous:
