has to be one of the sneakiest moves of all time. Meitner immediately had visions of brillancy prizes dancing in his head, and the game continued <12...f2+ 13.Kxf2 Nxe4+ 14.Nxe4 g3+>

and Black wins the queen. Does White resign? Hardly! Since after <15.Ke3 Qxd1 16.c3!!>

Black's queen is trapped!

The sneakiest thing of all is that the game is fairly equal after all that, White probably having the edge with Black's g-pawn exposed. But you gotta love it.
